BOHYPNIC

Community (Members Collective) Guidelines

Welcome to Bohypnic. These guidelines help us create and protect the intentional space we're building together - a space where everyone can thrive through community, connection and personal growth. To support this space, it requires us as a community to hold collective care.

Our values of Intention, Connection and Unity are not just words - they are how we show up for each other.

Our Shared Commitments

We Show Up With Intention. We practice presence.
This means being genuine in our interactions, listening deeply and contributing thoughtfully rather than reactively.

In practice:

  • Pause before posting or responding - ask yourself if your contribution adds value

  • Avoid over-posting or sharing repeated content

  • Share from your own experience using "I" statements rather than sharing unsolicited advice

  • Remember that attentive silence and listening is also a valuable form of presence

We Cultivate Connection Through Respect. We honour each individuals journey, identity and boundaries.
This space is built on mutual respect, safety and the understanding that we are all navigating different seasons within our lives.

In practice:

  • No harassment, discrimination or harmful language

  • Hold space for different perspectives and outlooks

  • If someone shares from a vulnerable place, respond with care or attentively listen - avoid “fixing"

We Build Unity Through Responsibility. We take ownership of our impact and contribute to collective wellbeing.
Building community means we are accountable to each other and to the space we are co-creating.

In practice:

  • If you are concerned about someone's contribution, address it with care and reach out to our team

  • Move with humility when misunderstandings arise and be open to feedback

  • Share your gifts and contributions but avoid excessive spam

  • Be mindful of others and contribute towards empowering the collective community

What We Don't Allow

Some actions immediately break the safety and integrity of our space.

We hold zero tolerance for:

  • Harassment or bullying

  • Discrimination

  • Hate speech

  • Spam or excessive self-promotion

  • Unsolicited sales pitches or recruitment

  • Boundary violations including unwanted contact, pressure or inappropriate behaviour

  • Sharing others' private information without explicit consent

These actions will result in immediate removal from the community.

Navigating Grey Areas

We recognise that community is complex and sometimes we get things wrong.

Here's how we handle the in-between moments:

Vulnerable sharing:
We welcome vulnerability but we also protect the collective nervous system of our space and of you each as individuals.

If sharing feels urgent or unprocessed consider:

- Reaching out to our team or using our resource links for dedicated support

- Adding a content note before sharing heavy topics so people can choose their engagement

Unsolicited advice:
We are here to support, not to fix each other. Before offering guidance, ask: "Are you looking for guidance and input or would you just like to be heard?"

Disagreements:
Healthy discourse is welcome. Conflicts handled with care can deepen connection. But if disagreement becomes personal, divisive or disrespectful we'll step in to support resolution or ask members to step back.

Our Accountability Process

When guidelines are crossed:

  1. Minor missteps - We'll reach out privately with care and curiosity to understand what happened and support realignment

  2. Repeated patterns - We'll have a restorative conversation about impact and invite reflection on whether this community is the right fit

  3. Serious violations - Immediate removal to protect the safety and integrity of the space. We approach accountability through a lens of growth - but we will always prioritise the safety of the collective.

This Space is Co-Created

These guidelines reflect our commitment to building unity in a disconnected world - by creating spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, others and with life itself.
