Eight of Swords

~ Overview 

A need for autonomy, Self-responsibility, Inner power, Accountability, Ownership of path 

~ Essence 

Taking ownership of one’s life, choosing our response and directing our future path 

~ Insight 

The Eight of Swords calls on us to reclaim ownership of our path, of the direction of our life. 

External events can interfere from many directions, there is much along our journey that we simply cannot control, though we are called now to work upon our chosen response. 

Our response to life is the step that gently guides the further path and essence of the outcome. 

If one is feeling stuck, overcome or trapped within thoughts, feelings or situations we are called take back the ownership of our life in all ways that we personally can. 

We are called to choose self-responsibility, to release outside blame and take full accountability for our approach, outlook and the journey forward.

When we step into our inner power, autonomy and resolve we ourselves become the solution. We become the change maker, the creator, the manifestor, a powerful spirit. 

We are called to open ourselves to options, to open ourselves choice and allow our spirit soar.  

Self-responsibility, accountability and ownership of our life develops self-trust. There is a fulfilling power created by choosing our response and taking responsibility for self.

Acknowledging our part in the process allows us to release the burden of blame, to focus on what we can do and to channel our heart into the path ahead.

In doing so our life begins to take on the colour and expression of our own spirit, not of someone else’s. 

Self-responsibility is a freedom, a privilege and if we hold it, we are called use it. Each choice we make will accumulate and has the potential to build something better.

We are called to take ownership, focus on what we can do and re-frame our approach to life.
